One of my favorite things to do is to perform a show in front of a Completely Vanilla audience because I know that the shows of Arcane & Company regularly teach and convey the True Beauty of BDSM to those who might otherwise never get such an opportunity. When my shows take some absolute newcomer to BDSM, whose misimpression of S&M usually comes from the excess of misinformation found in cheesy and clueless B-movies, and I transform this person’s understanding into one of genuine appreciation for this exotic Art Form, then do I most often feel like I have truly done my job. But the joy of doing this particular show did not stop there.
For about 6 months prior to this show I had been taking ballroom dance classes as my slave, Swan, was already quite an expert. My two favorite forms of ballroom dancing that I had learned were The Waltz and The Tango. As such, slave Swan and I decided to combine the genre’s into not only a full-on Theatrical BDSM performance, but into a TANGO Performance as well! The two genre’s actually merged quite well, especially since The Tango is a dance absolutely replete with overtones of Dominance and submission. True, this entailed actual, in-the-studio rehearsal time to perfect the Tango moves so they would merge seamlessly with the S&M, but the end result is something of which I am still proud. I would have to say 99% of the audience was absolutely Vanilla, and when our show was done the cheers were enormous, the compliments and hand-shaking plentiful, and even jaded executives long in the entertainment industry came up to us beaming with delight to tell us they had never seen anything like it…
